Awards are open to individuals age 16 and higher who are planning to attend or are curently a 2-year, 4-year, or voc/tech institution within the U.S. 15 awards are made each semester. Award amounts vary from $100-$1000. The deadline for the upcoming fall semester is July and for the upcoming spring is December 15.
Scholarship recipients are selected according to merit on a competitive basis. In addition, applicants must demonstrate career and academic potential measured by a combination of factors, including past perfomance and career objectives. Every complete applicaion will be given a fair and carful evaluation. Awards are given without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, dusability or national origin.

By voicing the youth perspective, Speakers aim to educate the public that censorial measures enacted in the presumed interest of “protecting” youth often not only prevent minors from learning, thinking and exploring; they deprive them of critical information on subjects ranging from human rights and feminism to drugs and safer sex.
